  1. The scientific/medical definition of the condition you are addressing.
  2. Any historical medical research, evidence and diagnosis of said condition.
  3. Outline the most common symptoms both physically, emotionally and mentally.
  4. Outline allopathic treatments/intervention and/or medication.
  5. Outline applicable Complementary Therapies, perhaps not just in your particular field, but certainly from your personal experience which you have found to be effective.

Duration: Estimated time-frame is approximately 18 months to 2 years.

Word Count and Presentation:

  1. Your completed thesis must be a minimum of 50,000 words.
  2. Must be made available both in Word and hard copy format for marking and evaluation.

  4. In most instances, wherever possible, your thesis will also be adjudicated by a third party who could be either a medical practitioner or an experienced Complementary Therapist, but not necessarily in your field of expertise.

Fees: After an initial non-refundable deposit you can make monthly installment payments to cover the £1,600. A brief interview will be required before your acceptance on to the course.

Teacher Training

for

Complementary

Therapies

Title: Teaching Certificate for Complementary Therapies.

Duration: Estimated time-frame is approximately 18 months.

Pre-requisites: A minimum Level 3 or 4 qualification in your chosen field with an accompanying minimum Level 3 in Physiology, Anatomy and Pathology. You have to be a full-time practitioner of a minimum of 4 years full time or 6 years part-time. It is advantageous if you have some experience in delivering some form of teaching whether that be online short demonstrations, small workshops or even 1on1 with your current clients but not a pre-requisite.

Aims: For you to be competent in drawing up your own teaching syllabi for Diplomas or Workshops which meet core curriculum requirements or above.

To be competent in risk assessments and health and safety considerations in delivering said courses.

Understanding and recognising individual learner needs e.g. dyslexia, deafness and how to adapt your teaching delivery in such circumstances.

Knowing legal requirements such as data protection of student information, your teaching insurance and insurance for your students.

Syllabus:

1. Learn how to construct 2 syllabi. One for a workshop/CPD short course and another for a Diploma.

2. Prepare a ‘scheme of work’, in other words training manuals and materials required for delivering the above in #1.

3. Prepare lesson plans for the above in #1.

4. Prepare 2 risk assessments one for online teaching and the other for face to face classroom teaching. Including risk assessment for current Covid19 restrictions.

5. Insurance requirements. Whilst undertaking this training you will need to inform your current insurance provider. You will also need to establish that they will cover you for teaching workshops/CPD courses and Diploma courses. You will need to determine at which point your students need to have their student insurance in place for Diplomas and you have a copy of said insurance from them. Ensure that any CPD/workshop students have relevant insurance cover. If workshops are for general public, then no insurance is required on their part.

6. For Diploma courses, very often there is practical training involved besides theory. We will investigate what can be taught through electronic/internet and what needs to be taught in person.

7. We will look at how you can engage and motivate your learners, particularly if they are having problems with particular modules.

8. From time to time you might have students who have learning difficulties e.g. dyslexia or deafness. How will you help and support them and are there other methods of evaluating their progress other than by written submissions? Can you find a way with them to maintain their client records whilst still maintaining client confidentiality?

9. How to encourage and support your students to developing their own independent research of their subject matter. What resources should you have in place for this?

10. Drawing up your initial assessment of prospective students for an initial interview for Diploma courses. This is to ensure the prospective student will be able to achieve both the academic and physical demands of the course.

11. Familiarising yourself with other certificate programmes available and whether those courses meet core curriculum standards if your students already have qualifications.

12. Drawing up a course schedule and structure contract so that both parties know very clearly what is expected.

13. What kinds of constructive feedback will you provide for your students?

Delivery of the course:

  1. You will be required to sit in on relevant online modules run by the Natural Approach School & Therapies. During these sessions you will be asked for your input in a teaching capacity.
  2. There will be monthly video or in person teaching/study sessions with yourself and your teacher/mentor.
  3. You will be set modules that you will teach online or in person to existing Natural Approach School & Therapies students which will be pertinent to both workshop/CPD or Diploma courses you will be developing.
  4. Either in person or via video call you will sit in on practical training days run by Natural Approach School & Therapies.
  5. Once you have drawn up a syllabus, one for CPD/workshop and the other for a Diploma course, we will arrange for you to deliver both with continuous assessment by myself as Principal of Natural Approach School & Therapies. This will be done via video call or in person as required at the time.
  6. There is no final exam. The course is taught with continual assessment of your progress. Once you have delivered a CPD/Workshop and a Diploma course successfully you will be awarded your Teaching certificate.

Fees: After an initial non-refundable deposit you can make monthly installment payments to cover the £1,600. A brief interview will be required before your acceptance on to the course.

KaHuna bodywork (Lomi Lomi) Massage Post Graduate Certification

KaHuna is a shamanic practice from Hawaii and within its practice and principles there is Lomi Lomi massage, which is practiced and handed down within families, rather like Reiki I. KaHuna Bodywork is the next level up.

This is a massage technique that principally uses the whole arm, not just the hands, in long and short sweeping movements over the entire body.

The therapist enters an almost meditative state so as to connect with the client not just physically but also on a spiritual level. The movements can be fast and slow.

For the client, not only does the physical body totally relax, but the mind goes into a non-thinking meditative state.

As a therapist you will need to be physically fit and agile. You have to be a massge therapist of Level 3 or above and hold a Natural Approach recognised Anatomy and Physiology Certificate.

This is a two day certificated training course 1on1 or up to 4 people.

I am available to travel to teach, although this will incur slightly higher costs depending on distance. Please enquire.

Fees: £600 This course has 6 CPD points.

Kuan Yin doh©

This is a beautiful, profound and joyful 4 day course, which also enables you to teach Kuan Yin doh to others, which takes place one day a month over 4 months.

Kuan Yin is much more than a healing energy we can call upon to help ourselves and others. She is a friend we can talk to, she does not make us any greater or more 'special'. She helps us to improve what is already within us. In fact Kuan Yin doh is a way of life. By inviting and just simply asking for her presence, or for an answer to a situation or problem, she will respond.

Her energy will make you feel serene, centred, full of love, peace and grace, and this only comes about through your own personal honesty and integrity. I wish I could tell you that by harmonising Kuan Yin into your life you will never experience another negative incident or stressful situation, or a heart rendering emotion. I cannot, for we live in the physical world. But what I can tell you is that when such situations arise, Kuan Yin will be there as a friend you can rely on, who will give you honest answers, and can give you great comfort in your hours of need. By the simple law of physics of like attracts like, if you live your life from this point of love, grace and honesty, you will attract more of the same.

On the first 3 days you will be harmonised to Kuan Yin's energies. You will learn how to give healing both physically and absently. You will learn how to use her beautiful blend of Essential Oils both for yourself and for healing others. You will experience her personal message to you through a deep channeling meditation journey. You will learn how to dowse/use a pendulum for healing.

On the 4th month you will show your competence in practicing healing on others both physically and absently by handing in 5 case studies. You will have also preparred your own teaching manual and lesson plan so you can run your own Kuan Yin doh. You will channel Kuan Yin, and we will complete the day with a dedication and joint signing of your certificate.

Fees: £800 covers your course manual, a 10ml bottle of Kuan Yin healing oil, a pre-printed Kuan Yin Journal (while I can get them) and your certificate.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 secures your place. The remainder of your fees are paid in monthly payments with no interest incurred.
